Mocha Java
Possibly one of the worlds first successful blends, Mocha Java got its name from the port of exportation (Mokha) for Ethiopian coffee and it’s Javanese additions. The exotic Ethiopian beans lend the coffee the citrus flavors and are co-blended with the fuller bodied Java coffee. The result is a medium bodied coffee, with a soft citrus flavor and complex aftertaste

Did you know? The term Mocha is taken from the original name of the Yemeni port Al Mukha where the original Mocha coffees were traded. The Dutch first blended these bright, winy-tasting beans with the deeper toned Java varietal for a blend that Europeans highly regarded in the 18th century. Although we now associate "mocha" with chocolate, when cocoa was first introduced to Europe, coffee connoisseurs compared its taste to the Arabian Mocha coffee.
